Hey guys. If the comics are anything to go by then Henry is genuinely sympathetic to Lydia and it’s not a plan between him and Daryl. In the comics it’s Carl instead of Henry. Don’t read below if you don’t want comic spoilers.
Alpha turns up to get Lydia back in a trade. Carl hates this because the whisperers didn’t treat Lydia well (rape etc). Carl then sets out alone to “rescue” Lydia and Rick eventually goes after Carl. Leading up to Rick meeting Alpha and the begining of the whisperer war.
